Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has claimed that an individual in Nigeria’s presidency is supporting Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2023 elections, according to a report released yesterday by the DAILY POST.

It will recalled that on Thursday at the 97th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar expressed commitment to resolution of the PDP crisis, adding that “family disagreements are normal even in normal families and political families”. Atiku as well “appealed to all members of the party to make sure that their disagreements are resolved internally within the provisions of the party’s constitution”, based on the past report.
More so, based on the report, speaking in his remarks at the Ahoada Campus of the Rivers State University, Wike noted that the party’s presidential candidate and the chairman of the party are from the North, adding that “Atiku camp are arrogant because they believe somebody in the presidency is backing them”. However, he noted that “they don’t understand that the same person backed somebody in the APC presidential primaries and the person failed”, based on the report.
Meanwhile, Wike in his statement promised to tell Nigerians the identity of the person in the presidency that is backing them at the appropriate time, according to the report released yesterday by the DAILY POST.
