Dan Ulasi, a former PDP state chairman in Anambra, has revealed that the upcoming 2023 election will be an ethnic one, and Peter Obi(the standard flag-bearer of the Labour Party) must meet Igbo elders if he wants to win.
Dan Ulasi, who just a moment ago made the comments in an interview with Arise news emphasised that the three main tribes in the nation appear to have produced the presidential candidates in the forthcoming electoral contest.
According to Dan Ulasi, Obi must speak with Igbo elders because the voting pattern may go toward ethnic feelings and identification.
Dan Ulasi also emphasised that the Southeast mostly backed one of the country’s two major political parties because none of the three major tribes had been represented in the presidential contest in prior elections.
He advised Obi to seek the support of the Igbo elders if he wants the backing(votes) of the Eastern community.
Obi will no doubt need the support of the Majority which will mean him needing the support of the Northern elders, the Middle belt forum, e.t.c, but do you think he will have to beg the support of the people of the South-East(where he is from and served as Governor) to gain their support?
