2023: ‘Nobody Has Given Me Anything’ – Peter Obi Denies $150m Diaspora Funding

Many Nigerians have suggested they fund the political campaigns of the politicians they are supporting in the 2023 general election. Though this idea may be great, there are certain rules guiding campaign funding in the country.

However, a certain group under the aegis of Tinubu-Shettima Connect seeks the disqualification of Peter Obi of the Labour Party by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the alleged funding as it violates the Electoral Act on campaign funding.

Reacting to this news, the Labour Party presidential candidate denied the claims of the group that says his campaign has received $150m in donations from diaspora sources.

Speaking during a meeting with Nigerians in London, Peter Obi said the allegations were based on mere speculation. The ex-governor said that nobody has given him anything. See the screenshot of the exact words he said;
