According to a report from the Leadership, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress, said during an event on Thursday that the youth are the leaders of tomorrow and that they cannot permit them to leave the country.
The former House of Representatives member stated that youths are leaving the country due to poor leadership, and that their departure will reduce the human resources required by All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu to rebuild the nation’s economy.
The Rivers-born politician also bemoaned that young people leaving the country are unaware that they are entrusting the nation’s development to elderly men and women whose strength is fading on a daily basis.
The 51-year-old politician also bemoaned the state of the economy, claiming that 90 million people are now living in poverty, up from 52 million before President Buhari assumed office. He also stated that if the Presidency makes a few bad decisions, we may be unable to pay our debts.
