1. Sitting for too long

If you sit down for most of the rest of your day, that is a problem. You require to be active all day long. If you have a desk job, take a short walk each hour to promote your circulation, even if it is just to your break room and back. Watching your favourite show for too long is unhealthy. Try to get up and dance, or do push-ups.

2. Too much drinking

For most people, moderate drinking (one per day for women, up to two daily for men) is acceptable. A daily drink may even have some benefits for heart health. But more than that can increase levels of certain fats in the blood, and increase blood pressure as well. That is particularly true if you have many drinks at a time. So stick to your daily limit.

3. Having belly fat

Belly fat is very bad for your heart. So get your tape measured and size up the inches around your waist. It’s unhealthy if it is more than 35 inches around for women or 40 inches for men. Take it step by step. Even losing a small amount of weight is okay for your heart.
