3 Health Problems That Attack Your Womb.

[ad_1]

The uterus or womb plays a significant role in the process of menstruation, implantation of the embryo, gestation, or development of the embryo and later the fetus and childbirth.

According to VeryWellHealth, some of the health issues that affect a woman’s womb are:

1. Fibroids

Uterine fibroids are noncancerous tumours that develop in the muscular tissue of the womb. Fibroids often do not result in symptoms or need treatment.

For some persons, however, uterine fibroids lead to heavy periods or pain. These symptoms are normally treated with over-the-counter pain relievers that contain ibuprofen or acetaminophen, or hormonal contraception.

In serious cases, surgery such as endometrial ablation, myomectomy, or uterine fibroid embolization may be needed.

2. Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a condition in which the tissue of the endometrial lining develops outside of the womb. This can lead to symptoms that include painful cramps, chronic lower back pain, pain during or after intercourse, spotting between periods, digestive problems, and infertility.

Endometriosis may be treated with extended-cycle hormonal birth control or an intrauterine device. However, some persons reacted to complementary and alternative therapies like acupuncture, chiropractic care, or supplements. The condition mostly disappears after menopause.

3. Uterine Cancer

Two kinds of cancers can affect the womb:

• Uterine sarcoma, which is very uncommon.

• Endometrial cancer, which starts to grow in the endometrial lining. It typically happens after menopause.

The primary indication of endometrial cancer is abnormal female organ bleeding, which may begin as a watery, blood-streaked flow that gradually contains more blood. Abnormal vaginal bleeding is not a normal part of menopause and should be reported to a health expert.
