Following the decision of the Chelsea football club management to part company with German coach, Thomas Tuchel, in the early hours of today, I have decided to reveal five among the many things the former manager was able to accomplish during his time with the club.
Thomas Tuchel who was brought into the London Blues club in January 2021, after his time with French side, Paris Saint German, proved that he is exceptional in terms of his managerial skills, as he was able to lead the club to a good number of victories.
Thomas Tuchel was introduced into the club after former Chelsea’s midfielder, Frank Lampard, was sacked by the club, following his inability to win any trophy throughout his 3-year contract with the London Blues. The now Everton coach made use of both new and old players in the club and tried to take them to the fourth position of the premier league and the FA Cup finals in his first season.
However, the German coach has since his coming into the club, signed a whole new set of players, sold some old players and also made sure that some of his players, including Chelsea’s keeper, Edouard Mendy, were awarded for their outstanding performances in the club.
One can never forget how thrilling it was to watch the matches of Chelsea under the management of Thomas Tuchel, as he was able to showcase his love for not only football but also the players.
However, the management team of the Chelsea football club decided to lay off Thomas Tuchel, following their 1-0 defeat againt Croatian football club, GNK Dinamo Zagreb, in the champions league group stages yesterday, and has promised to appoint a new coach soon.
And so, following such unfortunate turn out of event, I have decided to disclose five things Thomas Tuchel achieved during his time with the London Blues, and they include;
1. Thomas Tuchel won the 2020/21 UEFA champions league during his time with Chelsea. The club was able to showcase their determination towards ensuring that they went home with such trophy, and with Thomas Tuchel backing them up, they were able to defeat Manchester City in the finals of the champions league.
2. Thomas Tuchel won the 2021 UEFA Super Cup during his time with Chelsea. Fans of the London Blues across the world were filled with happiness when their club won the UEFA Super Cup last year. With the likes of Jorginho, Kante, Azpilicueta, Thomas Tuchel, and several others, the club won in a penalty shootout against Villarreal.
3. Chelsea football club was able to win 2021 FIFA Club World Club for the first time under the management Thomas Tuchel. The club was able to defeat Brazilian side, Palmeiras, 2-1 in the finals of the game.
4. Under the management of Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea became the 2020/21 FA Cup runner-up.
5. Under the management of Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea also became the 2020/21 EFL Cup runner-up.
Indeed, Thomas Tuchel tried for the London Blues and I believe that the fans and players of the club will.never forget his impact on the club during his time with them.
