Aisha Yesufu Reacts As FG Orders Nigerian Flags To Be Flown At Half-Mast To Honour Queen Elizabeth

The Ministry of Interior has ordered that the Nigerian Flags in the country and missions abroad be flown at half-mast to honour the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Queen Elizabeth II died recently in Balmoral, Scotland after ruling the United Kingdom for 70 years. Many notable Nigerians and world leaders have sent their condolences to the family of the deceased.

Reacting to the development, Aisha Yesufu, who is known for her outspokenness referred to the order of the federal government that Nigerian flags should be flown at half-mast as ‘eye service’.

The human rights activist stated that when innocent citizens of the country were killed, the federal government did not order that the country’s flags should be flown at half-mast.
