Any Presidential Candidate Who Want Votes From Rivers State Must Give Us Something In Return – Wike

The incumbent governor of Rivers State, Governor Nyesom Wike amidst the lingering rift between him and the heavy weights of his political party, PDP, has on Saturday stated that any presidential candidate who want the people of Rivers State to vote for him must make them an offer in return.

Following a video report on the official Facebook page of the African International Television, AIT, Wike made this disclosure while speaking at the flag off ceremony of a road project within the state capital on Saturday.

He said that for any presidential candidate to expect the votes of the Rivers State citizens, he must offer them something in return. Without mentioning any political party or candidate, Wike went ahead to recount that there is no way they (political aspirants) will give offer to Adamawa state for their votes, do same to Benue state and not offer something to Rivers citizens.

Wike also urged his people to hasten and make up their minds, that in due time, they will endorse a candidate and declare an open support for him.

Recall that since Nyesom Wike lost the presidential primary election of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP to Atiku Abubakar, there has been an unreconcillable rift within the party, between Wike and his supporters, and Atiku and his supporters.
