Arsenal kicked off their UEFA Europa League campaign against Zurich on Thursday evening. The Gunners were lined up in a different formation with a tweak in the starting line up, giving other players in the squad the opportunity to shine and they did just that.

Marquinhos performance in the game was enough to draw the attention of all to him, he was able to hold his ground and keep defenders on their toes when he is with the ball. He foresight and long crosses made him stand out.
Marquinhos played in the right wing, the same position Saka plays. The Brazilians performance in today’s game earned him a rating of 8.9. This is a good rating for a player who is making his debut in the tournament. He is surely a worthy challenger for Saka’s position in the starting XI.
So far this season, Saka hasn’t put up an impressive performance for the Gunners who are currently at the top of the English Premier League. He needs a challenge to put him on his toes once again and Marquinhos is that player.
