The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike was handled by the federal government, according to Minister of Education Adamu Adamu, and Nigerians have no “valid grounds” to be dissatisfied.
On Wednesday, Channel Television aired an interview with him for Politics Today.
Professors have been on strike since February 14th, but discussions with the Federal Government have not yet yielded solutions, infuriating Nigerians.
He responded that the government is not to blame when asked if Nigerians should be disappointed that the government is unable to break the impasse.
He declared, “If Nigerians are unhappy, I don’t believe they have many good reasons to be upset with the administration about this. Why should they feel let down? Please explain why you believe the government is to blame and not the union.
“You can only hold the federal government accountable if it refuses to fulfill its obligation to provide an offer to meet the demands of the people. No government can fully satiate every desire.
