Atiku Want Ayu To Resign But Some Members Of The Party Are Encouraging Ayu Not To Resign – Ononuju

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Katch Ononuju, has disclosed what Atiku Abubakar think of the demand made by Wike and members of his camp urging Iyorchia Ayu to resign as the PDP National Chairman. According to Match Ononuju, Atiku Abubakar is in support of Iyorchia Ayu stepping down as the national chairman of PDP.

Ononuju disclosed to Channels Television that Atiku Abubakar want Iyorchia Ayu to resign as the national chairman of the party so that peace can return to the party as the 2023 election edges closer. Remember that Nyesom Wike and some PDP governors has maintained that for peace to resign in the party, there is an important need for Ayu to step down so that a man from the southern part of Nigeria can take his place.

It has been weeks since Wike and his camp demanded Ayu’s resignation and some experts has been wondering if Atiku Abubakar is in support of the call for Ayu to resign as the national chairman. Ononuju’s recent revelation has now disclosed that Atiku Abubakar want Ayu to resign, however, there are members of the party who has been urging Ayu to maintain his post as the chairman of the party.

Ononuju disclosed that it will be difficult for PDP to become peaceful if Ayu refuse to resign. Ononuju went on to state that the call for Ayu to resign has gone beyond Nyesom Wike because there are members of the party who believe that the northern Nigeria cannot hold the position of presidential candidate and the national chairman at the same time.
