In Gulu village, Lapai local government area of Niger State, gunmen thought to be bandits on Monday killed two persons and kidnapped seven others.
In a statement released on Tuesday in Minna, Wasiu Abiodun, the state police command’s spokesman, confirmed the occurrence.
The two victims, he continued, had been shot dead by the bandits at the nearby Gulu General Hospital quarters.
He claimed that one of those taken from the residence was a doctor.
Abiodun said, “The gunmen later left a female victim with her two-year-old infant.”
