Buhari is criticised by IPOB for claims of terrorism and vandalism against the group

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a banned organisation, has responded to President Muhammadu Buhari’s remarks on the purported terrorist and destructive acts of the IPOB.

Emma Powerful, the group’s spokesperson, released the retort on Wednesday through a statement.

He thinks the President’s claims are absurd, shameful, and untrue.

He further criticized President Buhari for being ignorant about the affairs of the country.

IPOB said, “The attention of the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great and indefatigable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been drawn to the laughable, disgraceful and fallacious statement from the supposed President of Nigeria, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, alleging that IPOB is behind pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta.

“For the impostor in Aso Rock to tell the US and other Western countries that IPOB is responsible for pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta shows how shallow-minded and uninformed he is. Why should he choose to further advertise his ignorance and the failure of his Government in credible intelligence gathering by making such laughable, wide and untenable allegation?”

The group further urged President Buhari to stop making “childish” accusations and instead divulge the locations of infrastructure that has been destroyed.

“Muhammadu Buhari need to divulge to the United States and other Western nations the locations of the pipelines that IPOB vandalised in their wicked nation. Everyone is aware that IPOB does not do pipeline sabotage in Nigeria, thus Buhari’s accusation against them is absurd. Even the wider world is aware that IPOB does not participate in such crimes.

The group speculated that perhaps the Fulani-controlled Federal Government of Buhari is unaware that the West is not as ignorant as he and his fellow kleptomaniacs are; otherwise, he would not have made such embarrassingly erroneous assertions.

Insisting that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) were a terrorist organisation, President Buhari pleaded with the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union on Tuesday to outlaw the group.

In an interview with Bloomberg that was being filmed in Abuja, Buhari indicated that IPOB was responsible for a number of fatalities and property damage in the South-East.

He continued by saying that the government designated IPOB as a terrorist organisation in response to the group’s atrocities and urged other nations to do the same.
