Buhari won the 2019 election as a result of negotiations with certain PDP leaders, according to Wike

Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State, claims that PDP leaders aided President Muhammadu Buhari‘s re-election in 2019 by bargaining with him.

Without naming the PDP members, Wike claimed he was asked to participate in the talks, but he refused and instead delivered Rivers State to the PDP.

On Tuesday, when Channels TV showed the opening of the Rivers State University campus in Etche, Rivers State, the governor said this.

Wike on the PDP Crisis: “I will not leave my adversaries to God; I will demolish them.”

In a breaking development, Buhari has formed a committee to investigate ASUU’s demands.

He said that nobody could scare him into backing anything that would hurt the people of Rivers State.

Wike responded, “Forget me if you can’t explain to me how this benefits the state. We overcame the opposition of this federal administration. Most of those who are speaking right now would have capitulated if the federal government had fallen upon them.

When they came to me to ask for my advice on negotiating with President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019, I firmly told them that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) must come out on top. The answer was “no” from me. As a result, Buhari was victorious in the election. I now hear the voices of those who have ensured PDP’s demise since 2015 speaking out.

The defectors from this party now refer to us as lads. The lads who remained behind to keep the party going, and the boys who helped establish the party but eventually abandoned it. Being a guy from the Rivers means you have nothing to fear. They will murder you. I’ve been warned. Whoever informed you that you wouldn’t die first would have to kill you before you came for me.

When discussing the project, Wike claimed it would have a beneficial effect on the local economies and that his government had kept all of its pledges to the residents.
