Samuel Chukwueze and Peter Olayinka have been nominated for UEFA Conference League Goal of the Week award, after they were on target for their respective teams in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The duo was listed alongside Hasan Ali Kaldirim of Istanbul Basaksehir and Wouter Burger of FC Basel for the award.
Chukwueze, scored a goal with an assist as the Yellow Submarines came from a goal down to beat Lech Poznan 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller in a Group C match.
The Nigerian winger showed great composure to draw his side level at 1-1 with a stunning 15-yard volley in the 32nd minute.
Olayinka on his patch, gave Slavia Prague the lead in the fourth minute after he ran on to a pass, held off his marker before rifling his effort into the roof of the net from a tight angle.
The goal was his third of the season.
The winner of the Europa Conference League Goal of the Week will be decided via voting by fans.
