DCP Abba Kyari, Dariye, and Nyame are’missing’ following the attack on the Kuje facility

Some high-profile inmates at the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja might have avoided the shootings that took place there on Tuesday night.

The attacks, which reportedly lasted for a few hours, were reportedly resisted by on-duty military personnel and jail guards.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari and his men may have escaped from the institution, according to sources.

Gunmen bombarded the facility with bombs and explosives on Tuesday night.

Joshua Dariye, a former governor of the Plateau, and Jolly Nyame, a former governor of Taraba, both of whom had received pardons from the National Council of States, were also there.

At the time of the attacks, the Federal Government had not yet carried out their release.

According to reports, in addition to the high-profile convicts, other terrorists and other criminals may have fled in the darkness and gunfire of the assailants.
