Aisha Yesufu, a prominent advocate for good government and a rights campaigner in Nigeria has claimed that the country’s youth have proved her wong.
In an earlier tweet, Aisha claimed that Nigeria youths were too busy attacking one another online rather than to pay attention to politics. She made this claim on her social media account on Sunday.
The youths, she remarked, had woken up to say, “Enough is enough,” and she called them out. She claimed that they were now able to accomplish what many others believed they would never be able to do. Noting that they are currently concentrating on the election.
Her message reads: “Thank you, dear Nigerian youth, for making me regret what I said. Thank you for proving me wrong. We appreciate you expressing “enough is enough.” We appreciate you doing what many people believed to be impossible. I appreciate your attention to the election. I appreciate you overseeing this election.”
