Don’t Vote For Any Candidate Who Doesn’t Have Plans Of Improving Our Education – Akerele Warns
During an interview with Arise News, Taiwo Akerele said that Nigerians should be wise in voting for any presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election. He said that Nigeria is backward in the educational sector because our leaders have no plans in improving Nigerian education. And to avoid this from happening, Nigerians have to vote for someone who has plans to improve the Nigerian educational sector. 
He also added that education develops a country, if you see how other countries are improving, you will realize that their educational sectors are topnotch, and they don’t joke with it, unlike Nigeria where our leaders don’t care about education. 
He stated that it should be in the constitution that during the annual budgeting of the country, at least 10% of the budget should be kept aside for the improvement of education and other things that have to do with education in Nigeria. 
He warned Nigerians never to vote for any candidate who doesn’t know about the importance of education in the country. We should vote for someone who sees education as a great tool for the development of the country. Akerele gave several examples of countries that are doing well today because they took their educational sector seriously unlike Nigeria.
