Chelsea kicked off their 2022/23 Champions League campaign against Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb at the Stadion Maksimir.
The Blues came into this European contest on the back of a gruelling 2-1 comeback victory over West Ham last weekend, but found themselves trailing 1-nil inside the first 13 minutes today.

Expectedly, the Blues started brightly but unfortunately went a goal down when Mislav Orsic broke away on the counter and slotted in beyond the onrushing Kepa.
In a half that saw many Chelsea players fail to make their mark, Mateo Kovacic stood out on his return to his boyhood club.
The Croatian midfielder recorded an 89 percent pass accuracy, won 100 percent tackles and 5 of the 7 ground duels he contested whilst completing 3 dribbles and making 1 interception and 87 touches on the ball.
