by Ebor Cletus Ralph Jr

Dr. Oyebanji Filani, the state’s commissioner for health and human services, made this announcement in a statement on Sunday in Ado-Ekiti.
He claimed that following the Eid el-Kabir holiday, fresh cases of the virus were discovered.
Prior to the Eid el-Kabir celebrations that took place early this month, the commissioner noted that there had been a significant decrease in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and low occupancy in the isolation centres.
He urged the residents of the state to rigorously follow the regulations put in place by the administration to stop the virus’s spread.

Over 260,000 confirmed cases and 3,147 fatalities had been reported in Nigeria since the pandemic’s start there on February 14, 2020.
