Igwe Greg Ituma, the traditional chief of Ekpulato Mgbowo in the state’s Awgu local government area, has been placed on administrative leave by the Enugu State government due to a security-related issue.
Dr. Charles Egumgbe, the state’s commissioner for chieftaincy matters, announced the news on Saturday in Enugu.
He claimed that the monarch was expelled because of actions deemed dangerous to national security.
In the interim between investigations, subsequent conclusions, and recommendations to the state government, the commissioner ordered Ituma to resign from his position.
