In a news that was published by the Nigerian Tribune Newspaper Online, it was reported that one of the top chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the South-West geopolitical zone of Nigeria, Mr Dare Adeleke, has reacted to the ongoing rift between the national chairman of the party and the governor of Rivers State.
When he was talking, he insisted that the national chairman of the PDP, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, must leave his position because, he is not supposed to be there anymore. He said the people he is attacking now were the same people who brought him to the party and also elevated him to become the party’s chairman.
He said, Iyorchia Ayu was lecturing at the University of Jos, taking Sociology when the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, former Senate President, David Mark and others brought him into the party.
Further talking, he said, when David Mark and about five other people wanted to contest for the party’s national chairmanship, it was Governor Nyesom, and Governor Samuel Ortom that supported him in getting to the position.
