Buhari said in a condolence message that the story of Nigeria remains incomplete, without the chapter of Queen Elizabeth of United kingdom. The message was passed by the president’s spokesman, Malam Garba Shehu, in the feederal capital territory, Abuja.
For the president, the Queen dedicated her life in making Commonwealth and the entire world a better place.
However, the president of Nigeria has prayed for the Queen’s eldest son, king Charles, who has succeeded her, to witness a robust and sisterly relationship between them and Nigeria, during his reign.
Nevertheless, Queen Elizabeth died peacefully at the age of 96 at Balmoral. I pray that the good Lord will give her family and the country the heart to bear the loss.
May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
