
In Edo State, the gubernatorial position is insulated from contest in the ongoing election process, as governor Godwin Obaseki still has two years or so to go in his last term in office.
However, the contestation for the house of Assembly seat, is as stiff as any position any one can ever imagined. The reason is obvious. The Governor had rule the state for over two years, without the full complement of the entire house of Assembly members due to political alignment and realignment.
