Peter Obi mourns the death of Queen Elizabeth II, says she will be remembered for her kindness

The death of the longest reigning monarch of the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II has thrown the world into mourning. The death of the Queen was announced on Thursday by the royal family. The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi has mourned the death of the late Queen of England. In a Facebook post made by the former governor of  Anambra state, Obi offered his condolences to the family of the late Queen.

Peter Obi stated that his thoughts and prayers are with the royal family and the entire people of the United Kingdom. He described the queen who died at the age of 96 as a role model who devoted her life to democratic ideals, charity, selflessness, and empathy.

According to the royal family, the Queen died peacefully at Balmoral on Thursday evening. Recall that the royal family had earlier announced that the Queen has been placed under medical supervision over health concerns.
