Juan Mata is the latest player to leave Manchester United now that his contract at the club has expired.

The Spanish winger, who signed for the Red Devils from Chelsea in January 2014, joins Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard whose Man United exits were confirmed on Wednesday.

Mata won the FA cup, Europa League and the EFL Cup during his time at Old Trafford, playing under five separate managers in eight years. A Red Devils spokesperson said on the club’s website: “Thank you for dedicating eight years of your career to United, Juan. Everyone at the club wishes you all the best for the future.”
