JUST IN: More trouble for Atiku, Ayu, as Gov Wike’s loyalist pull out of 2023 PDP Presidential Campaign

The turmoil affecting the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken a new turn as supporters of Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, have resigned from the party’s presidential campaign committee.

They announced this on Wednesday morning during a meeting in Port Harcourt, the state capital of Rivera.
Prior to the 2023 general elections, Nyesom Wike has been in the forefront of a movement within the party to remove Iyorchia Ayu as national chairman. This movement has continued to jeopardise Atiku Abubakar’s chances of winning the presidency.
