A building fell in the neighbourhood on Sunday night, alarming the residents of Lady-lak in Lagos State’s Bariga district.
However, it is unknown whether any casualties were reported in the incident that took place at Adeleye Street, Lady-lak.
In a situation report sent to journalists, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the permanent secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), verified the occurrence and stated that the agency had activated all of its response plans for the collapsed structure.
“The Agency has launched its response strategy to the above situation,” the report stated. All emergency personnel are on their way. Updates will come.
Over ten such incidents have occurred in the state of Lagos this year, Nigeria’s economic metropolis, making building collapse a common occurrence.
