JUST IN: Reprieve for Akpabio, as court orders INEC to recognise him as A’Ibom North senatorial candidate for 2023 polls

Godswill Akpabio, a former governor of Akwa Ibom State and minister of Niger Delta affairs, has received a reprieve as the court appears to have resolved the issue surrounding his desire to run for the Senate.

This comes as the court on Thursday directed that the former governor be recognised as the All Progressives Party’s (APC) nominee for the Akwa Ibom senatorial north seat.
