UN Secretary General, António Guterres, on Tuesday, arrived the Borno State capital, in the North-East Nigeria, to evacuate the humanitarian situation emanating from the decade-long Boko Haram disruption in the region.
Mr. Guterres was recieved on arrival at the Maiduguri International Airport by the State governor, Babagana Umara Zulum.
In the course of his visit, the UN scribe will have one on one interaction with stakeholders in the state.
Guterres is also expected to visit some internally displaced persons (IDPs) camps, interface with repentant terrorists, and as well have a press conference
