Here is an ugly scene from Uganda. The president, Yoweri Museveni makes a speech and key ministers are dosing away.
Hold on a bit. It’s not solely a Ugandan problem, we have also had cases of sleeping parliamentarians in Nigeria especially, when issues of national importance are on the table.
The sad thing is that, these are people who are supposed to be saddled with the task of translating government policies and laws into reality.
The question is, what do these guys translate into action when what they do, is sit there all through a speech or debate and sleep like a babies?
This is the issue we stop having recycled politicians in positions of leadership.
As Nigeria warms up towards 2023, this is warning to the electorate as to whom they trust with their collective destinies.
