In her elementary study of Government as a subject, she must have been thought in school what ‘Franchise’ as a topic entails. Of course, that is the right to freely choose or elect leaders in a democracy.
That topic must have struck this young woman in a special way, to the extent that, she looked forward to the day she would be eligible to exercise that right, as enshrined in the constitution.
2023 was the year. She had been issued with a PVC. The Lagos State gubernatorial contest is it. The day finally arrived after a week postponement, occasioned by litigation following a bitterly contested presidential election.
To the polling station she headed. The fact that, her polling unit had been relocated else where, for some inexplicable reasons did not deter her. Finally, Google aided, she arrived there. What she met on arrival beats her…
That day she had dreamed about, was never to be, as APC thugs prevented her from stepping her foot into the polling boot. She was traumatized. She had hoped that her vote would effect that change she desired of Lagos. It wasn’t to be. Thugs threatened the living daylight out of her life.
On her way home, she made this video and placed a curse on those directly or indirectly, responsible for this sordid and morbid state of a nation that, God in his infinite mercies, had blessed with so much to go around, without being available to be hired for this kind of crude, wicked and devilish job…
