With just one point taken from games against Brentford and Arsenal, and after a standstill summer with no significant new signings, City could really do with a win to lift the mood. But the week has been dominated by talk around their star defender Wesley Fofana, and it seems he won’t play.
Brendan Rodgers had said that he would have no fear in leaving Fofana out if he deemed him to not be in the right frame of mind amid links to Chelsea. It seems that will be how the matter plays out.
