Julian Nagelsmann’s Bayern Munich decided to field a youngster in his team in their match against VfB Stuttgart today because he wanted to rest some players ahead of their Champions League clash with Xavi Hernandez’s Football Club Barcelona. The coach in his decision making decides to rest Leroy Sane, Sadio Mane, Lucas Hernandez, and Benjamin Pavard.
One of the beneficiaries of this massive change in the starting line-up is Mathys Tel. The Young start who started on the right flank where Sane would have played if he was on the pitch scored a one-touch goal that came from a very nice pass from Alphonso Davies. The goal came at about the 36th minute in the first half.
The goal made Mathys Tel the youngest player ever to score for the club at age seventeen. The player has the opportunity of breaking more records during the game as he still has the second half to play if the coach gives him more time on the pitch.
