Shehu Sani who is the former senator who represented the Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the Eighth National Assembly has called on the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MCBAN), South-East zone to stop begging the governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo to reverse the ban he placed on the movement of cattle on foot in the state.
Shehu who is of the view that the modern animal husbandry system is becoming the new reality in Nigeria took to his social media page to advise them to try to understand the governor.
He suggested that instead of pleading for the ban to be lifted, they should rather start to teach their members the new methods, adding that it will contribute meaningfully to the Nigerian economy.
His post reads, “Miyetti Allah shouldn’t beg Soludo or any Governor on open grazing. They should understand & embrace the new realities in the country. They should engage their members & champion a new cause for a modern animal husbandry system; that will meaningfully contribute to the economy”
