[ad_1]

Manchester United recorded their fourth consecutive win of the season as they saw off table-toppers Arsenal at Old Trafford. Erik Ten Hag’s side produced an aplomb performance as they secured a 3-1 victory over the Gunners.

New signing Antony gave the home team the lead, as he scored on his debut. Bukayo Saka equalized the score 15 minutes into the second half. However, two goals from Marcus Rashford, meant Arsenal 100 percent record in the league was squashed.

One man who must receive credit for this victory is Erik Ten Hag. He made some good tactical decisions which translated to a victory for his team.

1. Starting Antony ahead of Elanga

Ten Hag gave new signing Antony a place in the first team which played out well for his side. He dropped Elanga to the bench, and Antony delivered by getting on the scoresheet.

2. Bringing on Ronaldo early on in the game

Another tactical decision he did was bringing in Ronaldo in the 58th minute. This meant that United that Rashford moved to the wing, which allowed him to make the runs that led to his second goal.

3. Choking up the midfield with a 4-4-2 formation

After Arsenal scored the equalizer, they controlled the game, especially in the midfield. Ten Hag noticed this and brought in Fred to partner Scott Mc Tominay, switching to a 4-4-2 formation which stifled Arsenal’s midfield control.
