Nottingham Forest Promoted To Premier League

The only goal of the came actually came courtesy of a Huddersfield player, with a long-

range effort from Man Utd loanee James Garner flying in off of 19-year-old Chelsea loanee Levi Colwill.

Huddersfield pushed forward with intent in the second half, and even had two decent shouts for a penalty waved away.

First, Harry Toffolo was booked for a dive when he was clearly clipped by Jack Colback,

then Max Lowe escaped punishment for bundling into the back of Lewis O’Brien with seven minutes remaining.

Despite all their efforts, Huddersfield were unable to find the equaliser.

The result means that Forest are finally back in the Premier League after 23 years away.

Forest have been one of English football’s sleeping giants for a number of years,

having won two consecutive European Cups in 1979 and 1980 under the guidance of legendary manager Brian Clough.

Now with Steve Cooper at the helm, Forest will embark on a Premier League campaign in the 2022/23 season.
