Okaforanyanwu reveals the reason why Peter Obi and Pius Anyim refused to contest on the SDP platform

In a news that was published by the Nigerian Tribune Newspaper Online yesterday evening, it was reported that the Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Imo State, Prince Marshal Okaforanyanwu, has revealed the reason why the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and Pius Anyim, both refused to run on the platform of the Social Democratic Party, SDP.
While he was talking during an interview with Tribune’s correspondent, he said when Peter Obi and Pius Anyim were having issues with the Peoples Democratic Party, he ( Prince Okaforanyanwu) approached the duo to run on the platform of the SDP but, they both refused.
He said, “I would not fail to tell you that, I personally reached out to some of our young vibrant men including Mr Peter Obi and Senator Anyim Pius to come and run under our party but they refused. They said they needed political parties that have resounding names and they decided to go to them.”
