A prominent chieftain of the PDP, Dan Ulasi, has registered his displeasure regarding the utterances of his party’s national chairman. Speaking on AIT News, the former PDP chairman in Anambra State spoke concerning some of Iyorchia Ayu’s actions which may have contributed to the present condition of the party.

Addressing the topic, Ulasi said, “Ayu suffers from a verbal disease.” As the national chairman of the party, he was not meant to refer to some party members as children. This would not have happened if he had kept quiet till the convention closed while we tried to reconcile the aggrieved. Ordinarily, people would have defended his 4-year tenure.

He continued, “However, Ayu’s posturing has drawn attention to the fact that both the presidential candidate and the national chairman are from the north. These facts could have been overlooked if Ayu had been slightly more circumspect with his comments. Instead, Ayu opened his mouth wider than he was supposed to. He is meant to be a father to those who have won and lost.
