PDP Crisis: Nobody Can Muscle Me From Speaking Truth To Power, Says Wike

Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, has vowed to tell the truth to power for the sake of the thronging Nigerian people in general, regardless of rank or tribe.

The governor warned those in the Peoples Democratic Party who still believe they can have all to themselves that their hour of reckoning was approaching (PDP).

The governor insisted that no one could prevent him from speaking out against such injustice and from urging others to act morally.

He said on Wednesday during Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo Stateflag-off of the staff housing and the opening of Rivers State University Emohua campus.

When the day of reckoning arrives, such people, according to the governor of Rivers State, will unquestionably account for all of their wrongdoings.

“That is why I’m warning everyone there that it won’t work. Not everything is up for grabs. Everything you ingest will purify you. So, you’d better act morally right away.

“Don’t just sit there thinking that you can force me to do anything, control anything. Even while you may believe you have the numbers to ensure that you take everything, you will eventually have to account for it.

According to Governor Wike and his fellow governors, completing high-quality projects will benefit the PDP in each State. He thinks it will be incorrect for PDP States to ask voters for their ballots after failing to provide effective governance.

“If any PDP State is struggling, don’t expect you’ll be elected because the APC is struggling.” If PDP state, for instance, if we performed poorly in Rivers State, then you’ll argue that since APC performed poorly at the national level, people will support us. They will inform PDP that you performed poorly in Rivers State. That is not understood by people. And because we have the tools to do it, the party need to appreciate us and recognize that we are the ones running the campaign on their behalf.

The governor outlined how his administration has avoided the common trap of not allocating enough funding for initiatives they conceptualize, which results in a plethora of unfinished projects polluting the landscape.

No project that he awards would be abandoned, he claimed, because his government allocates a sufficient budget to finish them when they are conceived.

The creation of many campuses for RSU, according to Governor Wike, will increase access to education, give more room for efficient teaching and learning, and boost the economy of remote areas.

I informed the provost and the head of the governing council that satellite campuses must be created in order for the main campus to take advantage of other spaces that some of these faculties have previously inhabited.

The second need is that these places must be developed. I oppose the creation of numerous universities only for the sake of establishment. Access to education is necessary, and by building this campus, you are providing it. According to independent report.
