Femi Fani-Kayode, often known as “FFK,” a former minister of aviation, explained that Senator Dino Melaye just let the cat out of the bag in a post on his social media account. He made this statement in response to Senator Dino Melaye’s comment about the ongoing PDP turmoil around the ouster of its National Chairman, Ayu.
Recall that some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors called for the removal of Ayu after Atiku Abubakar emerged as the party’s presidential candidate, citing the party’s tradition that forbids the national chairman and flagbearer from hailing from the same geopolitical region.
Concerns have been raised by this among PDP supporters, as some prominent governors have reportedly warned not to back Atiku Abubakar until Ayu is dismissed.
The former Senate President, however, has insisted that he is not standing down. In light of this, Senator Dino Melaye allegedly accused the PDP Governors of using money from their National Convention to elect Senator Ayu as the PDP’s National Chairman.
Senator Dino Melaye made a statement, and in response, FFK replied that if it is genuine, there is no reason to speculate negatively about the PDP. “Before, we could only assume about the rot, vermin, and filth that exist in the PDP, but now we have the proof we require. Dino deserves praise for making such a bold confession, FFK added.
Femi Fani-Kayode therefore requested that Ayu, his whole NWC, and Atiku be expelled by the proper authorities. “One of their own has now accused and indicted the whole PDP leadership structure. The Federal Government and security agencies ought to invite Senator Dino so that he may clarify how much money each PDP Governor contributed to Ayu’s election, according to FFK.
