PDP Crisis: Senator Dino Melaye Has Just Let The Cat Out Of The Bag -FFK Says

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode fondly known as ‘FFK’ has in a post on his verified social media handle 4 hours ago, explained that Senator Dino Melaye has just let the Cat out of the bag. He said this while reacting to Senator Dino Melaye’s comment on the ongoing PDP crisis over the removal of its National Chairman, Ayu.

Recall, following the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, some PDP governors have called for the removal of Ayu, citing that the party’s tradition does not allow its national chairman and flagbearer to come from the same geopolitical zone. This has put some concerns in the minds of PDP faithfuls as some top governors in the party reportedly threatened not to support Atiku Abubakar until Ayu is removed.

However, the former Senate President has maintained that he is not resigning. In this light, Senator Dino Melaye reportedly accused all the PDP Governors of spending money at their National Convention to get Senator Ayu elected as PDP’s National Chairman.

Reacting to Senator Dino Melaye’s statement, FFK said that if what he said holds true, then there’s no need of speculating against the PDP. “Before we only speculated about the rot, rodents and filth that is in the PDP but today, we have been provided with the evidence that we need. Thanks to Dino for such a public confession”, FFK said.

Femi Fani-Kayode therefore appealed that Ayu and his entire NWC together with Atiku should be removed by the appropriate bodies. “The entire leadership structure of PDP now stand accused and indicted by one of their own. Senator Dino should be invited by the Federal Government and the security agencies to shed more light on how much each of the PDP Governors gave to Ayu’s election”, FFK added.
