Princess Grace Iye Adejoh, a People’s Democratic Party women leader in Kogi state, has urged Rivers state governor Nyeson Wike and the opposition party’s chairman to unite and work together to rescue the country from its current shambles so that the party can win a landslide victory in next year’s election.
The women’s leader said in a press statement made available to journalists in Lokoja on Wednesday that the opposition party can no longer afford to be silent.
Due to internal squabbles, the party is washing its dirty linen outside, claiming that the masses are looking to the party to save the country from total collapse.
Princess Grace Iye Adejoh, who expressed concern that the reconciliation process is taking too long given the short time frame for the election, stated that someone must make a sacrifice in order for the party to win the presidential election.
While urging Wike to reconsider his hard stance for the sake of the party, the PDP women’s leader stated that he should not be seen as tearing down the house he helped build, adding that his enormous contributions to the party cannot be wished away.

” I’m pleading with someone to let go by making a sacrifice so that we can go into the election as a united party, and I believe the sacrificer is the bigger person and becomes the hero.”

“Wike and Ayu should recognize that their positive action is urgently required now for the rescue and development of Nigeria, not just the PDP.” Accusations and counter-accusations will not help; we must move forward.” If the duo truly loves Nigeria, they should not allow those responsible for the country’s crushing hardship and hunger to continue beyond 2023, as the suffering masses are looking for a party that will save the country from total collapse. The truth is that now is the time to make history and become a hero. Let it be said of them that when Nigeria was in desperate need, someone sacrificed and provided the country with the leadership that saved it.
“I believe that the current challenge the party is facing is because the dawn of a great era for the party and country is at hand, and I have confidence that wike and Ayu will do the necessary for our party to win a majority of the states in the 2023 general election, as well as for our presidential candidate, Atiku Abubaker, to win the presidential election in a landslide victory,” the statement added.
