PDP’s Loss Is Labour Party’s Gain, As Senatorial Aspirant Defects In Lagos State.

A renowned socio-political crusader and critic, Chief Adesunbo Onitiri, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Labour Party (LP) to contest the forthcoming Lagos Central Senatorial election.
In a statement in Lagos, yesterday, Onitiri said his decision was based on the party’s lack of internal democracy and to heed the call of Pa Ayo Adebanjo to support Peter Obi’s presidential bid.
Prior to his defection, Onitiri was a strong member of the PDP where he contested against Senator Oluremi Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2019 senatorial election in which he was narrowly defeated.
