Peter Obi, Baba-Ahmed visit Obasanjo to rally support ahead of 2023 election

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, and Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, his running partner, paid a visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Other important Labour Party figures accompanied the pair to Obasanjo’s hilltop residence in the capital of Ogun State.
Baba-Ahmed was mum on the topics covered at the meeting, while confirming the news on his Twitter account.
On the microblogging website, he posted images from the meeting as well.
The vice-presidential candidate for the LP declined to comment on the topics brought up at the conference, but there were hints that the parties discussed strategies for rallying support for Obi and Baba-Ahmed before the elections in 2023.
He wrote: “Earlier today, myself and H. E. #PeterObi in the company of other #NgLabour chieftains consulted with the former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.”
