Dave Umahi, the governor of Ebonyi State, has said that Peter Obi’s presidential campaign is “anchored on equity, justice, and fairness.”
Mr. Umahi, a supporter of the APC, the current ruling party in Nigeria, has publicly declared his doubt that Peter Obi will be elected.
The governor of Ebonyi made a statement Friday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
As the governor put it in his statement, “The principles of fairness, justice, and equality are the bedrock of the Peter Obi movement. Even though I’m going to defend my party and hope it does well, we may not end up with a clean sweep.”
Dave Umahi should be the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2023 General Elections, however Ex-Lagos governor Bola Tinubu won the APC presidential nomination in the party’s primaries, defeating Mr. Umahi.
Also, Mr. Umahi said it’s wrong to associate IPOB with the violent acts of militant groups in the South East.
