Police detain pastor and others after finding youngsters reportedly concealed inside Ondo Church.

Police officers in Ondo State have found what they believe to be minors held in a church.

The youngsters were allegedly kidnapped and detained on the grounds of the church in the Valentino neighbourhood of Ondo Town, according to Funmilayo Odunlami, the state police command’s spokesman, who gave journalists confirmation of the event on Saturday in Akure.

She added that the children had been moved to the command headquarters while the pastor of the church and some members of the congregation were arrested over the incident.

Odunlami said: “Those arrested are currently being quizzed by the police at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID). We will keep the public posted on the discovery and police investigation.”
