Prof. Marius Iwuchukwu Found Dead With A Lady In His Residence In The US. Murder-Suicide Suspected.
Marinus Iwuchukwu, a Nigerian professor, was discovered dead on Thorncrest Drive in Wilkins Township, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday.
A woman named Charce Dunn was discovered dead beside Iwuchukwu in the same location.
Allegheny County Police said the two died after a “domestic disturbance” around 10 a.m. yesterday.
According to the report, they received a call to check on the well-being of a couple inside their home.
According to the police, a third party was unable to contact the male resident and discovered that he had been stabbed. A woman with a weapon remained inside the house.
The SWAT team entered the house and discovered the bodies of a 59-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman, according to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4.
Both appeared to have skin cuts, and the woman appeared to have self-inflicted gunshot wounds, according to police.
According to police, an investigation has been launched into the grave incident, which is suspected to be a murder-suicide.
In response to the news, Duquesne Catholic University, where Iwuchukwu was an associate professor of theology until his death, expressed condolences to the late scholar’s family and friends.
“This is a tragedy for all involved and our thoughts and prayers are with Professor Iwuchukwu’s colleagues, students, friends, and loved ones,” the varsity spokesman Gabriel Welsch said in a statement.
