PTAN urges Federal and State government to ensure security, provide facemasks as schools resumes

Alhaji Danjuma Haruna, the National President of the Parents Teachers Association of Nigeria (PTAN) has advised the Federal and State governments to position security agencies in strategic loacations across the country as school resumes.
He disclosed this in a statement recently, explaining that such measures needs to be adopted as a result of the increasing cases of kidnapping, terrorism and banditry in the country. He further stated that face masks and hand sanitizers should be provided as the COVID 19 pandemic was stll a threat to human existence.
He however appealed to the Federal government and Kebbi state government to put more efforts in rescuing the remaining female students of the Federal Government Girls College, Yawuri who were still in the captivity of kidnappers.
In quote, he said: ” We are begging all the thirty six (36) states and Federal government of Nigeria to help us protect our children through the provision of adequate security in both primary and secondary schools”.
